Party Faq's What should I wear? Typical workout wear is best. But beyond that, wear what makes you feel good! From yoga pants and a t-shirt to bootie shorts and a sports bra, it’s your party! You dress how you want to! We have a changing room, so feel free to change here. Please note: Rings and bracelets are prohibited while on the pole, as both the pole and your jewelry can get damaged. Cubbies are available in the dance studio space for you to store your personal belongings. **We suggest that you don’t apply oil-based lotion the day of the party. You will likely get extra slippery on the poles. Either forgo the lotion that day or you’ll need to wash your hands and legs thoroughly before heading back to the studio space. A glycerin based lotion applied earlier in the day will be ok, and may even help you with sticking to the pole. What shoes should I wear? Most people go barefoot or in socks. If you want to wear shoes, they need to be dance shoes, as in ballroom/contemporary dance shoes or platform pole dance shoes such as Pleaser. No outside footwear is allowed in the dance studio space. What is the space like? We have a front lounge area, changing room, restroom, and dance studio. You will have exclusive access to all of these areas during your party. Cubbies are available in the dance studio for storage of your smaller personal items such as phones and keys. Can I bring drinks and food? Yes! But no alcohol. If anyone appears to be under the influence upon arrival, they will be denied into class and no refund will be issued. We ask that you keep all consumables in the lounge area. No food or drink in the back space where instruction takes place. Water is the only exception. How strong do I need to be to pole dance? You can be an absolute beginner or strong athletic type. You don’t need to be physically strong to start pole dancing, but you will get stronger if you stick with it! Tell me more about these poles… The poles are professional quality dancing poles by X-Pole. They are solidly mounted to the structure of the building and have a 350lb weight limit. We have 6 chrome poles (industry standard) and 2 stainless steel poles for dancers with chrome allergies. What is the parking situation? It is free and plentiful! What if I’m pregnant, have an injury, or recently had surgery? Please tell your instructor before your party gets started so we can ensure your safety. Depending on the severity of your situation you may not be able to participate in all of the activities. What if I really like pole dancing and want to keep learning? We have lots of options for you! New students can take our 4-week Rebel 101 Series or join us for any non-aerial classes before committing. Beyond that, you have your choice of a monthly membership, class packs, or pay for each class individually by purchasing drop-in passes.

REBEL 101 Faq's Never taken a pole class before? Please join us! Congratulations on taking the first step towards a new strong and sassy you. This 3-week program will be all about learning the foundational skills for the start of your pole fitness journey. A few questions you may have.... How much is it? Our REBEL 101 series is $80 for all 3 weeks. Each series runs for 3 consecutive weeks and each class of the series is 60 minutes of instruction. Because of the format of the series, each student must complete all 3 weeks to "graduate." **This series is non-refundable and cannot be carried over to a different or future series. IF you are unable to complete all 3 weeks, a credit on your account may be issued with advanced notice given to us, at the discretion and exception of the studio and dependent on specific circumstances.** What do I wear? Wear whatever is comfortable and easy to move in. Shorts are strongly recommended but leggings or workout capris will be okay for the first class. Weeks 2 and 3, you'll need your leg skin exposed to learn your spins and tricks. Tank tops are also recommended but a tshirt is okay as well. Please do not apply any lotions the day of your class. We also ask no jewelry to be worn - rings, toe rings, bracelets, anklets and long necklaces. Watches with silicon straps and no metal are okay to wear. (Sorry, but poles and jewelry are not friends.) What about shoes? No need for shoes. All beginner classes are done in bare feet. Socks or grippy yoga style socks are okay, if you get cold tootsies. What if I have to miss a week? We know, life happens. If you know ahead of time that there's a week you cannot attend, please let us know as soon as possible. If something comes up that day, please just drop us a quick email or call/text us at 540.940.7918 to let us know. Please do not just do a 'No Show' because it can hold up the rest of the class while we wait for you. Can I make up a missed week? Yes, of course! We want to see all our 101 students graduate. We allow make-up sessions IF we are notified in advance. Just let us know as soon as possible and we can schedule one for you. However, due to the high demand of these beginner series, all makeup sessions have a session fee of $50. Makeup sessions are the equivalent of a private one-on-one lesson and are subject to instructor availability. If you are a 'No Show' or 'Late Cancel' for your scheduled make-up session, that session fee is forfeited and an additional $30 'No Show' fee will be charged to your account. If you have any other questions or concerns before your first class, please email us at info@rebeldanceandpole.com.

- About | Break The Chains
Check out where we started... A lot of work in just under 3 months. Thanks to the help of family and friends, we got it all done in time for our Grand Opening on September 28th, 2018. Staff room Front lobby Front lobby Front lobby Changing room Hallway Staff room Nasty carpet that was removed We got this! There was an additional room? That room was removed! The heaviest and biggest desk EVER! Additional room almost gone. Staff room Studio room 1/3 The Studio History Get To Know Us In 2018, Rebel Dance & Pole was initially founded by 3 women who were passionate about dancing, teaching, performing and competing. They met at a local studio and quickly became supportive of each other and other students who were all training for their first major competition. In spending months rotating between the homes of all the competitors, it became clear that they wanted to establish a more permanent home for all who wanted to learn more, continue competing and grow their strengths. With the support and encouragement from fellow dancers, family and friends, the studio was born. Why the name Rebel? A 'Rebel' is a person who resists any authority, control, or tradition. Rebels like to challenge the status quo. And that is what we want to do with dance; to break societal norms and provide a space to just be ourselves. The name Rebel was chosen because pole dancing is still stigmatized across the globe. We want to showcase that pole dancing can be any style that the dancer makes it: contemporary, lyrical, dramatic, entertaining, or of course, sexy. So join us in rebelling against societal dance expectations, and let your inner REBEL out to find your own creative style! Rebel Boss Babes Shana & Leah Dance is our passion and therapy. Together, we come from decades of dance experience in multiple disciplines between the US and UK. Finding the world of pole changed our view on how we can continue to feel strong, confident and body positive after aging out of traditional dance programs. We created REBEL to allow all who want to dance in a space to learn uniquely, rediscover themselves and feel a sense of family & community. #itsgoodtobeaREBEL #itsallloveatREBEL Meet The Team Find us on Instagram @RebelDanceandPole
